Where can I get help?

West Sussex County Council is not responsible for the content of external internet sites.

West Sussex County Council runs a a number of scheme to help people reduce, reuse and recycle their waste. These include supplying"Food Waste digesters" and compost bins at a subsidised cost, and promoting the Real Nappies Initiative.

West Sussex County Council provides 11 Household Waste Recycling Sites for the public to use to dispose of their own household waste. There are also recycling banks across the county.

An A-Z list of recyclable materials will also help identify what can be recycled.

Junk Mail

Reduce junk mail by registering with the Mailing Preference Service, or by writing to them at Freepost 29 (LON22771) London W1 7EZ, or the Postal Preference Service or telephone 0870 050 3553. You can download the "unwanted mail" forms from www.bettertomorrows.org.uk

Action Aid Recycling collect and recycle unwanted mobile phones

Sussex Wildlife Trust arrange for phones and printer cartridges to be recycled. The Trust also receives a donation for each recycled phone.
