A New Year….A New You…..A Better West Sussex!

A major campaign was launched today to encourage people to make some small changes in their lifestyle that will make a big difference to the environment. Residents, businesses, and organisations are being urged to sign up to the 10% Challenge, and they will know straight away the kind of impact their pledge will have for the good of the planet.

Thanks to the interactive website, their pledge will be converted into an instant calculation of the benefits for generations to come of their actions. The campaign stresses that helping to make a difference is not at all hard.

The 10% Challenge was launched by Louise today (Friday December 16) at West Sussex County Council’s meeting in Chichester.

She said after the meeting: “We have all seen the impact that climate change and global warming are having. It is not too late to do something about it, and the challenge is aimed at showing people that there are some very simple changes in lifestyle that can really make a difference to our environment. The 10% Challenge is all about living today with tomorrow in mind.”
